Description:

The Genetics Annual Retreat will be held at Devil's Head Resort, Merrimac, WI, on Friday, October 13, 2006 from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.
The retreat features:

• research talks from Rick Vierstra, Scott Kennedy, Bill Engels, Tom Jeffries, John Doebley and Jenya Grinblat
  
• keynote luncheon talk from Fred Blattner
  
• panel discussion "Evolution and response to society" facilitated by Rick Amasino
  
• poster sessions
  

Devil's Head Resort provides a spacious and quiet environment for scientific exchange.

Lunch and breaks will be catered. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on the registration page. Use the link at the top of this page to register.


Everyone is invited to present a poster. A cash prize for best graduate student poster will be awarded. Posters should fit on a 4' by 4' space. A retreat abstracts book will be available; the deadline to submit a poster abstract is Friday, Oct 6. Please send abstracts to Jean Petersen
