Genetics Annual Retreat
The Genetics Program retreat is held in mid-Fall of each year to promote interaction between members of the genetics community on campus. The retreat consists of short scientific talks from Genetics trainers and other campus faculty, panel discussion, poster presentations by students affiliated with the program, and social time to increase communication within the program.

The Genetics Annual Retreat will be held at The Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street, Madison, on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
The retreat features:
- Research talks from John Pool, Melissa Harrison, Laurence Loewe, Dan Gianola, John Hawks
- Panel Discussion: Ethical Concerns and the Future of Human Genetics. Panelists: Norman Fost, Pilar Ossorio and Corinne Engelman
- 2 poster sessions
- and back by popular demand: Genetics Trivia Challenge Competition
The Pyle Center provides a spacious and quiet environment for scientific exchange.
Meals
Lunch and breaks will be catered. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on the registration page.
Poster Session
Everyone is invited to present a poster. Cash prizes for best graduate student posters (by year) will be awarded. Posters should fit on a 4' by 4' space. A retreat abstracts book will be available; the deadline to submit a poster abstract is Monday, October 1, 2012. Please send abstracts to Jean Petersen (jmpeter2@wisc.edu)
