The basic principles of genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics will be taught through readings of the scientific literature, class presentations, group projects and computer lab web-based experiences. Emphasis will be placed upon student participation in the learning process. Some topics covered will be: genomic sequencing, motif discovery, DNA microarray, high-throughput genetics, chemical genetics, mass spectrometry techniques and protein networks. Skop
