PhD Program

As Chair of the Laboratory of Genetics, it is my pleasure to introduce you to our graduate program as outlined on this Web site. I hope that you will find this site helpful and informative. We are very proud of our program, and we believe that we are in a position to provide the best training possible to graduate students who are interested in a research career in genetics.

The Laboratory of Genetics is one of the oldest and finest centers of genetics research and teaching in the country. We care about our students, and we make every effort to see that they develop both intellectually and personally during their stay with us. The excellence of our research faculty and staff, as well as our graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, all contribute to providing a first-class graduate school experience for all of our students.

You can get an idea of the kind of research our graduate students are doing by viewing abstracts of their research that they prepare for the Summer Colloquium that they give each year.
